How it all started
It all started in a little tent on a rainy day in Denmark with our freshly bought Soundboks. The volume and usability were great on the Soundboks, but to be honest, it was quite boring to look at. Therefore, we decided to spray-paint it.
But as you might have noticed on the video, all though it was fun, the result wasn’t great at all. It was in fact horrible and the process was drawn out. It took us 2 days just to make the simplest design you could possibly imagine. We knew that there had to be an easier way and thus the idea behind Soundframe started.

The solution
We had to find a solution. Not just for us but a solution that would allow everybody to customize their Soundboks however they wanted without limitations. A solution that will allow everybody, even though having no artistic experience at all, to create the most detailed design on their Soundboks
But at the same time, it had to be scalable, reasonably priced, and work as a protection for the Soundboks – rather than being unremovable like paint.
But if not paint, then what? We began our research and found the perfect solution – Self-adhesive foil.
Self-adhesive foil. A large sticker that could be printed on in millions of colors. The foil could be cut out by machines so that it would fit the Soundboks to perfection. And if that wasn’t enough, it could be made so everybody can apply their design to their Soundboks all on their own.
Right there we came one step closer to accomplishing our vision. To make – Your Soundboks, Your Way
The Journey
We announced the project to the Soundboks community. Rapidly we went from making a few sales on Facebook to working with companies such as Dominos, Sommersby and Clever, to become an official SOUNDBOKS supplier and being the leading platform for Soundboks customization.
With everyday, more people make their Soundboks unique. We strive to make Soundboks customization more accessible, better and more varied.
